Annual Ft. DeSoto Overnight Field Trip

Trip Details:
- Accomodations of 15 rooms at Eckerd College for Friday night, April 25th. Rooms are still available,
but please reserve by our next meeting, March 20th.
- Cost with a Friday night stay: $80.00 per room plus $10.00 per person.
Which means: a room with 1 person is $90.00, a room with 2 people is $100.00,
and a room with 3 people is $110.00.
- There is a cost of $10.00 to attend the Saturday field trip and not stay at the college.
- Payment is due by April 11th, but a full refund is available if you cancel before April 22nd.

Description: This course will involve field observation and identification of butterflies at Orlando
Wetlands Park and Seminole Ranch Conservation Area in east Orange
County.
Class Dates: three Saturday sessions on May 3, 10, and 24, 2008
Class time: 2:30pm - 5:00pm
Cost: Fees for Audubon members ($25) and non-members ($40) are payable in advance by check or money
order to Orange Audubon Society (OAS).
Non-members may join the Audubon Society when they register to enjoy
the reduced member rate. Pay $45, which includes class registration (member price $25) and an introductory,
annual 3-way membership in Orange Audubon and National Audubon Societies and Audubon of Florida (promotional

- Recommended field guide is Butterflies through Binoculars: Florida by Glassberg, Minno,and Calhoun,
2000, Oxford Univ.
- Also recommended are close-focusing (6 ft. or less) binoculars.

example, has a minimum focus of 3 feet. Or here for
